My artistic practice investigates themes of connection, intimacy, and identity. I explore complex internal relationships within gender and sexuality, and how the most intimate parts of yourself can feel foreign. Intimate compositions of isolated body parts, emphasize each as a separate object. Utilizing unnatural, monochromatic palettes, I create glowing areas representing connection. Through closely cropped compositions and amorphous sculptural forms, the isolated body parts maintain anonymity. Ultimately, the work encourages the viewer to reflect on their own intimate body and others’ identities.
